    Out and About

    Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

It seems that this is your first visit. Would you like to subscribe? Enjoy your visit!I’ve always enjoyed Jalopnik’s Down on the Street bits.  And they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  Consider yourself flattered, Mr. Jalopnik.
Behold, the first (of at least one) Out and About post (click to enlarge):

    While […]

    If I had $10k to spend today . . .

    Monday, June 30th, 2008

. . . on a car that didn’t have to be my daily driver, here’s what I would look at.  All of these are available on Ebay as this is written with a Buy-it-now of less than $10,000.

If I were in the mood for a true classic, there’s this 1937 Buick Sedan.

    Still in the classic […]

First Smart Car sighting around here

    Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Yesterday I saw the first Smart Car in this area.  I spoke a bit with the owner and he seemed genuinely happy with it.  He’s had it since February and has put around 1200 miles with it.  He said the gas mileage was great, but he wished for a bit more space inside.

Why can’t I buy the Ariel Atom as a kit and save a bit off of it’s $52,000 pricetag.  It looks like I […]

    My next toy

    Saturday, April 28th, 2007

Lately I’ve been putting a lot of thought into what car I will buy next. I don’t really need another car, so this would be just for fun.
In my mind, I’ve laid out some requirements:

Fun - This could mean convertible, fast, unique, whatever. Just not a Taurus.
$15,000 or less - There is an […]
